Hello Farm Family,
We are in full swing here at Homebody Farm. One of our farmer friends described it as “Oh s***t April” (excuse the language) and that is the perfect way to describe the post-frost season on our farm. The seedlings and transplants are going in the ground, the alpacas are on full alert keeping the chickens safe, and we’re juggling prepping beds, planning markets, and opening our farm stand all at once. It’s chaotic, muddy, hopeful magic—and we wouldn't have it any other way.
I wanted to provide you with some updates on our exciting projects, most notably the farm stand opening:

Liam is troubleshooting our new plastic layer. This tool uses compostable plastic mulch—a big win for both our soil and the planet. It helps us suppress weeds, warm the soil for early planting, and reduce labor, all while breaking down naturally over time.

Can’t make it out the farm stand on May 10th?
No worries—starting Sunday, May 18th, we’ll be open every Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM.
We’ve been pouring our hearts into getting everything ready—painting the stand, prepping the parking lot, and sorting out the logistics. We can’t wait to open our gates and share this next chapter with you!
